Vision: AIDS Project Los Angeles aspires to be a recognized leader in the development and provision of multidisciplinary, high quality, cost effective initiatives designed to stop HIV transmission and to reduce the human suffering caused by HIV disease. AIDS Project Los Angeles is a flexible organization that responds rapidly to changes in the populations, priorities or needs of people affected by HIV disease. AIDS Project Los Angeles strives to improve the overall quality of life for people living with HIV by sharing or pooling assets and working in partnerships and collaborations, thereby maximizing the overall effectiveness of resources. 1. APLA strives to end the HIV pandemic by dedicating resources to the development of strategies, interventions and programs to reduce HIV transmission. 2. APLA dynamically develops advocacy, policy and other leadership initiatives to assist people with HIV disease. 3. APLA advances the development, dissemination, and evaluation of high quality, low cost, effective models of service delivery. 4. APLA fosters a unified response to the urgency of the HIV pandemic through collaboration with and support of other organizations. 5. APLA recruits committed volunteers from diverse populations and prizes their contribution to achieving its mission. 6. APLA is supported by a diversified funding base, which secures the stability and future of the agency and other organizations that we support, and fosters the development of innovative programs and services.
