Where: New York City, NY

Mission: "LIFEbeat is the music industry's charitable organization dedicated to reaching America’s youth with the message of HIV/AIDS prevention."

Formed: 1992

Serving: New York City

Special Events: "LIFEbeat volunteers conduct safe sex outreach at hundreds of concerts in NYC and nationwide every year. Additionally, their volunteer musicians perform over 200 free shows every year for people living with HIV in residential facilities and day centers all over NYC. As if that wasn't enough, LIFEbeat creates outrageous live events with the music industry's best and brightest to raise both awareness and funds. In 2007, they worked with everyone from Ricky Martin to Mary J Blige, and celebrated their 15 year anniversary!"
