FEATURED AIDS ORGANIZATION:

AIDS Project Rhode Island

Where: Providence, Rhode Island

Mission: "AIDS Project Rhode Island has led the fight to educate every Rhode Island citizen about HIV."

Formed: 1985

Serving: all of Rhode Island

Special Events: "Our Monthly Gay Bingo is held the third Thursday of the month. April is Dining Out for Life. Then our annual AIDS walk is held in June. Further information for all these events can be found on our website."

Needs: "Currently funding is a big need area especially in the area of Prevention and Education. State and federal cuts as well as the lack of grants offerings funds have caused us to cut back on our prevention efforts. We have had to lay off our full time prevention staff and are relying on volunteers."

Donating through our ChipIn, money will go directly to AIDs Project RI's Paypal account.
